When the stars align and the perfect group of people come together, you get the opportunity to create something special. Inspired by that energy, we wanted to make a unique rum that honors the people and cultures that made this moment possible.
And so Trovador Inspirado Rum was born.
Taking inspiration from The Mavericks' genre-bending music, we blended the crisp versatility of Cuban-style rum with the oaky, full body of Spanish Caribbean rum and the herbaceous notes of pot-distilled Mexican rum.
Just like Raul, the Trovador himself, Trovador Inspirado Rum pays homage to its cultural roots while remixing them for a modern audience. We shot for the moon with this one and can’t wait for you to celebrate with us.
The trovador himself, raul malo
Raul Malo was the incomparable Cuban American frontman of GRAMMY® Award-winning band The Mavericks, and the sole writer of many of their songs. His free-wheeling, swaggering style seamlessly blended neotraditional country, rock 'n roll, and Latin rhythmic fervor, prominently featuring his lush, soaring baritone. From his earliest days, when his raucous sound broke ground at the punk clubs on Miami Beach, to fronting The Mavericks over three decades of acclaimed touring and recording, Malo demonstrated an unfailing skill for getting people to groove. His towering creative contributions and unrivaled, generational talent created a kind of multicultural American music that reached far beyond America itself, leaving an enduring legacy that continues to inspire and move audiences around the world.
